Services
A collection service for any donated items free of charge. We collect donations of unwanted home and garden furniture and household appliances in Angus, These goods are then displayed and available for general sale or to voucher scheme customers, from our showroom which is open weekly from Monday to Thursday currently. Our products can also be viewed online via our Facebook page where we post weekly, on a Tuesday so of our stock is available for that week.
We also offer a delivery service of any goods purchased from our showroom, again available across the whole of Angus. We charge a very small fee for our delivery service, just to cover our diesel so that anyone can make use of this.
We also have a craft reuse room called Craft Again @ Furniture Recycling Project Angus where we stop craft materials going to landfill! This is a haven for crafty folk!
Our paint recycling scheme allows people to donate unwanted paint which will then be sold at affordable prices through our warehouse. The scheme aims to reduce waste and the amount of paint going to landfill while offering an affordable alternative to purchasing new products.
Our home starter packs are provided through our referrals service in partnership with Angus Council. Packs are given to tenants moving in to their first secure tenancy to help them start out. The packs contain home essentials for kitchen and bathroom.
As well as offering affordable products and services, the above activities enable us to provide valuable work experience, training, volunteering and employment opportunities in Angus. We are also making a notable impact on the environment by offering a convenient outlet for unwanted items and an alternative to consuming new products. Since 2004 we have prevented 127.8 tonnes of waste from going to landfill. In that period we have employed 16 people on a full or part time basis. In conjunction with CJS, SCVO and Kickstart we have provided placement opportunities for 60 young people. We have also been able to call on the volunteered services of over 80 people who have gained experience in a working environment.
